MRC mods, I've got this cool PHP script around to realtime show GE5 files. That'l be a cool not be missed feature in the GFX download section (itsa preview thingy so to speak. not having to load the file into emulator/real msx. just online viewing baby) other formats can be done rather quickly. lemme know

proof: www.thefuzz.nl -> download/gfx click ANY ge5 file

It's a cool script, but I think having a converted PNG/JPG/GIF would save us a lot of bandwith cost. I'd love to see a nice .GE5 viewer for the PC tho... (hopefully with other screens too...)

Just serving PNG/JPG/GIF would also put less load on the CPU Smile

Sonic: check out ViewGE5 on the Bombaman page. It's great.

MSXView is a great tool indeed! The only thing that's missing is the ability to just double click on a ge5 file (or any other images) to view it, now you have to run that program and open the picture manually.

Just serving PNG/JPG/GIF would also put less load on the CPU :)Well, to make the screenies look nicer, you can do this. Ah well, that'll put too much load on the CPU ;)

I guess it would be better to put 'raw' images online, without any filters used on them. Ah well, this is getting pretty off-topic Tongue

It would be cool to see a new RPG on MSX, but I think it would be a good idea to produce different 'chapters' as creating content for an RPG can take quite a while. Having a really dedicated gfx artist would help though Smile

some of my older work

users.skynet.be/sky87965/gfxmace.gif

None of them were used for released products...

* the first picture i drew as a logo for my first ASM scroll routine, which works but was never released due to no music, too basic/simple etc.

* The ring-thingie is also drew no too long ago for a scrolldemo which didn't make the contest due to exit coder :-)

* The third and fourth ones were made for Music Maniac 3 which was never released (it was supposed to be a musicdisk back in good ol 1999)

* The last one also pretty recent, i drew it for a dR. mario clone I was trying to make in ASM. I had some code but then I quit ASM again (I couldn't quite figure the stacking of the pills routine out so I bailed).

So hmm, lemme know what you think bout them GFX

some RPG GFX for show off are in the pipeline and soon coming you're way...

>>Out :-)

All looking very, very good!

What a shame... This is GREAT for the MRC Logo & Scroll challenge, which as far as I know is still running!
Please don't be ashamed of not being the world's best coder...

If you want some help with that, visit #msxdev @ Rizon IRC, or email me. I'd be happy to talk things over with you and provide some ideas and insight Smile
