Well, after unpacking it, I see the label is not properly aligned. It sticks out on one side of the CD by at least 1mm. Crying
Too bad... Never mind sending a new one, I'll just trade it in on the coming Bussum MSX Fair.

WHY use labels on cd-r's when they allways screw your disc's.(Even with the help of centration units.

If you want a fancy looking disc use printable media manufactured by Taiyo Yuden or MCC (and partners) and a nice inktjet printer (Canon and ESPON have some nice inkjets that can do this. )
Looks ten times better and the media is high quality and stays high quality so less problems.

Actually the labels Sunrise used looked very good, and personally I don't really like the idea of letting a CD travel through a printer ^^;

BTW, Mitsui makes printable CD's too (also thermal transfer).

But on the other hand, CD labels are known to shorten the lifetime of your CD-R immensely.

I wonder if pressed CD's are an option to Sunrise, because all these CD-R's and labels can't be cheap.

Pressed won't be a option unless Bomberman would have to sell 300/500 pieces or the costs would be very high !

CD-R's these days cost nothing if you buy from the right adresses and the right media that is. DD disc's are much more expensive to me.(infact I get my high quality DVD media at the same prices as DD-disc's. Now I know that I buy my quality media (TY) cheap and get my DD's at a high price. But then again for Double Sided disc's you don't have that much choice these days.)

The reason why I didn't say MITSUI. Is because MITSUI themselves don't make any disc's. It's now MAM-A(america)/E(Europe) (Bought up by CSI)
After CSI bought up the quality lowered. But still there gold media is good but way to expensive.

About cd's through printer. Well I got a CANON I865 over here and it should be able to print cd-r's. (NEver tested it) It comes with some special parts for the cd printing. Still had no time to test it.

If someone needs DD discs, let me know. I still have loads of them in the stack I got from Wammes Witkop. Yes, they are old PC-Active disks. Especially developers should contact me... For free of course!

I'm very interested in having DD discs, but I'm not a developer, just an hardcore MSX fan Wink.

Well, I've seen that remark somewhere else before... But would you really think that it's cool to get a copy of Bombaman with 'PC-Active, issue 44' on the shutter? Don't think so Wink

bah.. DD disks should go Smile I vote for game delivery on CD-r so that ppl have to install a game on their own DD disks (not recommended), CF/HD (recommended) or play directly from CD..

No need manuel, since it has some advantages to be a foundation.
I can get simply disks enough, just ordered 500 copies.
Maybe with Sunrise logo ...
But I prefer even as Wolf the cd or CF/HD option.
Reasons enough for that , sooner or later disks will disappear ( ask Bill Gates),.
Means that in due course you had to consider an alternative for the disk.
Further the option to make larger games in one time etc.
But no worries , we support disks as long as it possible

sunrise and D-Tail: I didn't mean that Sunrise should distribute its software on these PC-Active disks! It was a general remark... if you need DD disks, contact me Smile
