Each screen has it's own sprite-base address (the start of the Sprite Data in VRAM) Some screens do share the same adr though.

In basic you can get the base address using euh, some basic instruction which I forgot quite honestly (BASIC is just tooooo long ago) Also there are shared docs around telling you the STANDARD base addresses.

However, you can actually set them your self quite easily. There have been many questions about sprite vram stuff and I happend to write some pretty technical articles about the subject years ago. They were in Dutch however. So any of you who like to have these docs are pretty welcome. Maybe I or some one else can translate them to Enlish of what not.

Milc might be a starting point for some docs'n stuff. Also there is a complete scanned version of some VDP book on the net (was it not?)

some hints: the Sprite data usualy starts somewhere at the end of the first page of any screen mode. For screen 5 that is at line 212 (so start adr. would be something like 212*(256/2) bytes) till 256 of page 0 IIRC. For screen 7 (highres) it's more something like 212*256 bytes. Same goes for screen 8 (lowres, but 256 colors per pix) 212*256 etc.

It's always a good thing to review submitted texts before putting them on a page like the MAP. These texts will go through that action as well.
