Hello MSX lovers!
Let me explain a little better the situation of this project. It is that many people are waiting and do not want to have misunderstandings.
This project over three years that is up and began as a simulator MSXBASIC ago. Now it is much more consistent, a few months ago we began developing the (internal and external) of the prototype hardware. We must be clear, we have a long journey. However, the time and resources invested is for those who want to see a MSX3 on our desktop. Myself included. This project does not seek anything special, well, everything that is to create a special MSX3. I mean, this is pure emotion. It is a small or big dream in the minds of many (including me again).
I am convinced, dedicated and obsessed with getting MSX3 have on my desk. I hope I go allow showing progress of the project. With your support, it becomes less hard along the way. Thank you.
Excuse that so far, all the information is not in English. It is something that we are working and we hope to correct soon.
Thanks for the info. I have some questions though:
- Can you tell us a bit about the hardware? Is it a FPGA and if so how "big" is it (since I have heard some people wishing for bigger 1chipMSX/ESE3 clones)? Or is it a "pc" running an emulator?
- How are you going to deal with trademark/copyright etc? (with regard to the case design from Sony and the use of the MSX name/logo).
- Is the hardware on the picture real or just photoshopped concept art? Because you seem to have more space for keys compared to the original sony f1-xv, is the case bigger or are you using smaller keys?
- How are you going to deal with trademark/copyright etc? (with regard to the case design from Sony and the use of the MSX name/logo).
I have the same question .we know that The MSX name is a trademark for Microsoft, so who will be incharge to deal with re-creating the name again after about 25 years of stopping ?
can anyone now create a similar system and called him MSX !!
cmon guys do not tread on it... It's a very good project, Nerlaska is waiting for suggestions, some points will be solved later (copyrights, etc.).
Actually the trademark lies in the hands of MSX Licencing Corporation. I don't know the specifics on how to get it but for example the Gr8bit is offically licenced!
