Sargon (from the '90's game translations and Guide Through Gameworld & disk magazine Defender series) was one of many MSX development 'companies' to get the Nosferatu torch passed over.
(I know you're joking, but just a piece of reference for the people who really don't know. Wink)
While there's still basic code, graphics and musics (some of them I think used in Shrines of Enigma and The Lost World) laying around, it would be nice if finished. :)

Actually, Nosferatu's music and gfx was partly used in, as John mentioned, other products from Jan Van Valburg. Like Shrines of Enigma (and yes, Lost World's featuring Kid'z Nosferatu music as well). So making Nosferatu using those same resources again would only be confusing. The project was simply to big to realize back when and the "torch" was handed to Jan (somehow) only to conclude the same; it was to ambitious.

code, however, is still exclusively laying around on my HD somewhere ....
oh, and there's a nosferatu track used on Muzax#2 ...
Here's some nosf gfx: http://www.thefuzz.nl/msx/?file=thefuzz_downloads&dir=files/gfx/ge5_files/projects/nosferat
Here's the LostWorld (partly nosferatu) music: http://www.thefuzz.nl/msx/?file=thefuzz_downloads&dir=files/music/mbm/kidcnoz/lostworld

face it, it will never happen.

w000t, no less than 15 of those musics are mine™ © ®!!! :D I'm-a suein'! ;)

face it, it will never happen.
:( No chance of the code being given free?

Too bad!
Back in the day, we actually played a little Nosferatu at the Sargon headquarters and it was sweet.

I think Jan still has some code of Nosferatu aswell. Last october we refurbished his TurboR st that hasn't been used for 10 .or more years..(loads od sticky dust and a molten drivebelt) and made images of all the disks he still had. next to some code of Shrines of Enigma we also found some code and music of Nosferatu (if I remember correctly)
I also thought that Jan didn't want to finish Nosferatu because he bought an Super Nintendo with copybox and started to program for that, what would be his next step into professionally programming.

Yes, at some MSX fair I've once seen a working version of Element's new Castlevania-like project for the Super Nintendo. But that one never got finished either, right?
