Wizard Of Wor!
Always wished to have this game for MSX, and a while ago, I found a partner in crime who was thinking the same, so who knows! Wink
If I were the one to code it, it would be an MSX2 version though, since I can't program well enough for MSX1 and also, it could then be more like the arcade version, just as porting Pengo to MSX2 was the only right decision IMO.

Chrono Trigger... And Final Fantasy VII of course... There are countless great non-MSX games, but I think these two just need to be mentioned. Oh, and another personal favourite: Heroes of Might and Magic (particularly part 3).

Someone (opcode or somebody else) had mock-up screenshot of Wizard Of Wor and it looked nearly the same as arcade and that screenshot was of course Colecovision screenshot. So it is possible to have (really close) arcade like MSX(1) conversion. Never mind, whoever had made that mock-up, he has countless projects to do before Wizard Of Wor (if he ever does it then....)

Try and play Commodore 64 conversion (by Commodore) (there are two conversions, another has colourful graphics, but they were not animated or something strange like that), graphics are mainly one colour style (except Worluk), but they look good!

Once again, I REALLY WISH, that, please make your MSX2 Wizard Of Wor conversion, but PLEASE, ask somebody to make MSX-1 graphic routines and SCREEN 2 graphics (or ask here for help, surely people help you how you can do it!:)) and add those pieces of code to your MSX2 game. Thank you!! As MSX-1 version can use SAME main code, it is just plain silly not to make "double cartridge" which has both MSX and MSX2 conversions.

I will be really happy even if MSX-1 part has "just" same one colour graphics as Commodore 64 conversion had!! :D

Here you are:

http://www.lakupo.com/grblitz/colecovision.htm

First has several Colecovision Wizard Of Wor mock-up screens.

http://www.colecovision.dk/wishlist.htm

Latter has several other interesting things too!

So, please make MSX-1 conversion too or my age-old missing for MSX-1 Wizard Of Wor will continue even if I get arcade perfect Wizard Of Wor MSX2.

@ MäSäXi
Well, if it works on both MSX1 and MSX2, that's ofcourse even better.
But the same code for both generations? That's probably only when it uses screen 2 on #1 and screen 4 on #2 (if I'm not mistaken).
And there's the twist: I only know how to properly code for screen 5, because it's easy! Smile
But I agree, a version that works on both would be extra fun, and indeed, I know this game from the C64 and really enjoyed it.
Maybe in the future, I'll know how to decently program a screen 2/screen 4 hybrid.
Think faaaaar future though, not 2065 but probably also not 2011. Wink
