The HispaMSX BBS has been upgraded last weekend with the following features:

  • Improved BBS intro screen for ANSI terminal users. The new animated intro screen resembles the MSX2 boot up logo sequence. Thanks to t00b for this new logo.
  • Enabled DOS-based BBS door support. It's now possible to install DOS based doors into the BBS. DoorMUD is the first BBS multiplayer door available. You can access door games from the main menu, pressing [X] and then [2]. More games will be added on the future.
  • Installed LastWord door. This program is auto-launched when a user logoff from the BBS, allowing him to leave some words that will be displayed to next user who logoff from the BBS.

The new features has been tested on a real MSX by Sd-Snatcher and they work perfectly. Enjoy your MSX BBS experience!

I hope more people will start to frequent this BBS. It's a really nice retro-experience, and it's good phun to see some people online through a good-old terminal window. Smile
