Tina's Adventure Island ready for sale

As we reported, the pre-order process of Tina's Adventure Island started few months ago and today we can announce with satisfaction that the wait is over! Help Tina find her boyfriend Takahashi in this action game chock-full of various stages and enemies. As an extra feature, those who own an MSX computer with V9958 will be able to enjoy the game with smooth scrolling and alternative color palettes. The game is already available with the definitive packaging at the MSX Cartridge Shop for the price of 29€.

Moreover, it is worth to mention that there is a new stock of other Imanok's productions such as Traffic Jam, Stray Cat, J.E.T.P.A.C and Heroes Arena.

That's still just the promo, luppie.
The final game looks a bit better (apart from the smooth scrolling), has slightly better sound, and is 5 times as big as the promo version (and ofcourse has new types of stages unseen in the promo).
IMHO, there are hardly any new conclusions to be drawn from the final version which can't be deduced from the promo, except a lot more (and new) stages and overall better quality.

Here is a gameplay video of the first world of the final version (played on openMSX Turbo R emulation).
I had to promise Imanok to try to play it loosely as possible, in order to show the gameplay, because, as you'd probably understand, I have gotten way too good at the game during development, for having played it like a thousand times, and else it would almost look like a TAS speedrun.

Wow, received the game today, thank you very much. I´m really amazed ´bout the game, especially the soundtrack is superb. Played on a 2+ makes it so smooth. As I told before, we are great fans of your work. Thank you (both) Davids and thank you John! Wonderful cover design, KAIJUSUMA. It is a great feeling holding such a precious in my hand!
I played the demo of the game on the january fair in Nijmegen, John was really helpful guiding me through the first levels.
It´s a bargain and I like the way you market your games. Although most of your older games are for free, I bought all the cartridge editions available (except one ´till now, but I have to keep good things in spare).

Got my copy, and damn, this game is fantastic. Really good stuff! One of the most polished and well-designed homebrew platformers I've yet played on the system. Genuinely feels like a game I would've bought back in the '80s, and absolutely loved to death.

I'm enjoying the hell out of it! Played around with the F1 toggle for color depth today, and my mind was blown when I got to a cave level full of lava -- the red of the lava REALLY pops off the screen when you have enhanced color depth turned on! Makes an already extremely charming-looking game even prettier.

Dear Mr. Hassink. I really hate you for the addicted ingame music. I have had a few minutes left this morning, so I started the day with playing Tinas Adventure. Since the you can hear me humming the game music. I wanted to go to sleep now, but couldn´t. Ask why? I´m humming this music over and over. So I had to get up again to write you this letter. Shame on you!
The only way to get rid off this tune, is to play Pippols now. But this will not ease my situation!

Some people find it an annoying song for some reason, but I don't agree.
I would love to make a seriously rocking, DIxieland/Big Band like arrangement of that some day, with real instruments.

Last days of my holidays, and my son and me got (finally) time to play Tina's adventure... We really like it! Nice retro feeling. Only thing that flashes through my mind,... if you're able to make such a nice game, why not using MSX2 and even more nicer graphics...
