In the winter of 2003, Vincent van Dam submitted Snowclimber as an entry to our Snowfall Challenge. Andrea Rossetti has now recompiled the game to make it BLOADable on MSX machines with less than 64kB RAM.

On his Snowclimber page, Andrea reveals in depth the why and how of this recompilation. You can also download the game in BLOAD- or WAV-format there and get the modified source code.

Big smile Thanks Cesco, let me know if it worked on your real MSX!
I sincerely hope this to be of interest to some other friends,
I liked Vincent's demo and I thought it was good to make it
available to a wider MSX audience.

My best regards, Andrea.

PS for Cesco: I also tried MSX Taper with it, that's obvious... Smile

I'm afraid that I missed the original release, so I'm happy to discover this game. Very nice snow and wind effect indeed. Neatly done! Smile
