Sound is correctly emulated this time?
Have you, at least, used my sound emulation routines that I open sourced last year? What about the RAM block search routines??

How many of you have actually seen a Colecovision?
Because I swear, I've only known it by name, from advertisements in Donald Duck magazine etc., and have never seen one in real life.
I don't even know what such a console (?) looks like.
I'm almost like these kids: Big smile

And I'm born in 1979, so I am old. ;)

And All These Years I have been talking to a little kid!!!!!! oO Tongue

John, you had been born though, when I started my school. Wink

I am not sure if I have seen Colecovision in the eighties in some electronics and household appliance shop. But it has been familiar to me since I saw and read about it in various Tekniikan Maailma magazines in early eighties. Smile Gladly there wasn´t videogame advertisements (and hardly any other advertisements either, except some few Disney related) in Aku Ankka magazine (=Donald DuckBig smile). Smile

Thank you for sharing such a warm-hearted video. Smile But I would NEVER allow any child to touch (even less to use) record player by themselves! oO

And yes, I want to see more Colecovision ports coming!!!! Smile

At least

1) Miner 2049´er (if you didn´t knew it, this was THE GAME which inspired Matthew Smith to design and make Manic Miner, yeah, please notice that Matthew´s game had miner too!Wink but Miner 2049´er is different type game though, you collect stuff (they serve as points and "power pills" ) but the main idea is to walk around each mine and colour every part of the platform by walking over it, just like in later Mr. Robot which surely borrowed Miner 2049´er´s ideaSmile)

2) Bump ´n´ Jump (if anyone has been played Burnin´ Rubber or Bumping Buggies on C64, this is original arcade port)

3) Temple of Apshai (no need to explain, all rpg and action game fans should be Very Interested about this fast playing gem! Why the heck this haven´t been ported yet?!?!?!?)

4) Frogger II - ThreeDeep! (yeah, Frogger with three different screens and much added to game play, Great Game!!!!Big smile)

5) Slurpy (How many of you have actually played this lovely game? Smile It has so simple and great idea, you have to suck spheres and creatures, except red ones, yeah, sounds "very interesting", does it? But please Try It!!!!Big smile PS. Anyone who is gonna try it, I will advise, that you can spit poisonous red things out off your mouth before you swallow themSmile)

6) Jumpman Junior (Legendary classic, every room has different way behaving enemies, don´t be shy by looking crude graphics, this game has good gameplay!!!!Big smile)

7) Sammy Lightfoot (neat graphics and animation, it has great ideas too, I really wish modern day msx developers could use these ideas in their games!!!!)

8) Up ´n´ Down (though, I would like to see decent MSX conversion instead, Colecovision conversion is well made, but I really do miss those mountains, there are little hills, but no mountains Crying I don´t remember if there was those high above ground dead end roads on Colecovision either?)

9) Tapper (I guess everybody knows this!Smile)

10) James Bond (yeah, graphics are not the best possible, but I like this!!Smile)

11) Pitstop (yeah, good racing game with colourful graphics and really neat looking pitstop subgame!!!!Big smile)

I didn't hear about the console until I had internet access. It was _very_ popular in the USA, for a _very_ short time, popularity decreased dramatically due to the videogame crash: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_game_crash_of_1983 (go read it if you didn't know of it well, interesting part of gaming history)

To me, Colecovision and Mattel Intellivision were The Dream Videogame machines. The best graphics you can get, and the priciest of them all.... I knew I never can get them.... too expensive...... Crying

@ MäSäXi: I feel I did miss out on Colecovision indeed. Cool little machine.

@ hap: So it was something 'alien' to you as well. Smile Interesting link by the way!
