MSXdev'14 #9 - CMJN

Ah, who of you remember classics such as Sega's Zaxxon or, a bit later, Viewpoint by SNK? Making games from this perspective, as some might argue, is a delicate, underappreciated art, and surely, it may have been a thing in game developing history, but remains a quite limitedly explored phenomenon as far as MSX is concerned.
Well, Portugese MSX fan nitrofurano decided to break this unfortunate tendency, and enriched the MSX game library with his experimental project, bearing the elusive, mysterious title "CMJN". It's created with Boriel's ZX Basic Compiler, and we can only guess how this may evolve in the future. Maybe you should just have a look for yourself.

[offtopic]viejo_archivero, you owe us no thanks - it's the other way around. But you're welcome. Smile MSXdev has been, is, and will be a huge factor in keeping MSX alive, and I think I can say on behalf of the entire MRC crew that we hope to see you back in action soon, and that you will overcome, succeed or prevail in whatever is taking your time.[/offtopic]

The title is related to the CMYK color mode for printing (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) also known as four-color process. In French, CMYK becomes CMJN (Cyan, Magenta, Jaune, Noir) and these 4 ‘basic’ colors are displayed on the MSX screen !

I had explained that in october 2013 : http://msxdev.msxblue.com/?p=2410
