Metal Gear In Concert

Arrangements are hot! Today, Thijs pointed us to an orchestral version of the famous Metal Gear theme. He wrote this Metal Gear In Concert three years ago and thought it might be something interesting for all the Metal Gear freaks out there. We'd say this is an understatement, the tune is a must hear for everyone!

Totally awesome!
I have to thank this guy for doing this great job. It sounds like a real orchestra. All the instruments sound very good and this music creates the appropiate atmosphere of this wonderful game.
I encourage people to try to do something like this with other MSX Games´ Music.
MSX 4 ever!

hmm, it's alright. but I really miss dynamis (I've been nagging about that before... ppl 'com a good track is judged on the thrills of dynamic!)
You could make the track more interessting (dynamic) at the 3th piece of the music (around 1:30 min) Add in some more harmonie and percussion (read bass/floor) and some horns 'n stuff...
DYNAMIC is the keyword. period. Every one can arrange a track, it's the extra attentions that makes it brilliant

Less reverb, a bit more speed, and a few note corrections would also help Smile (imho)

thanks for all the nice comments!

yes, you are right about the lack of dynamics and using too much reverb. But it was 3 years ago and i had recently bought some new hardware gear so i was just testing out the equipment. And probably my arranging skills have improved over time.

MSX, i'm lovin' it!

ps. if i got some time, i really would like to get my hands dirty on remixing USAS songs.
