Daisuke Nagano has ported Digital Sound Antiques's MSXplug to Linux. Unlike the original MSXplug, the MSX-MUSIC emulation in MSXplugplay is based on the YM2413 emulation as used in MAME. The package also includes a player for Nokia Series 60 phones, whilst a Linux Zaurus port has already been released as well.
