Paradum Games have released a single-level 3D remake of Software Projects's Manic Miner, demonstrating their 'Nudge 2' engine in action.

Impressive animation but willie looks odd in 3d Smile. The game over scene (MontyPithonesque) is a bit too gore (with all those blood and guts) yuck!
At the beginning is a bit strange handle Willie in 3D (the maze is cilindrical instead of straight)

A final note: in my msx won't work! Wink

and the gameplay is kinda.. uhrm, not my style. the players view is very limited. cool work tho, but not my thing. 2d rock. period.

indeed...music is cool though Smile but yeah,a bit quirky and unprecise,and an overall view of the level is missing.
I do like the idea of walking around something cylindrically (wow what a word), reminded me of nebulus.
But,gameplay got to have priority over music and graphics...if a game is addicting but looks crap no probs.
If it looks good but plays so so it's more likely that you won't pick it up again.
Still a nice effort !
