Falcom announces: Legend of Heroes VI - Sora no Kiseki 3rd chapter

After the release of Legend Of Heroes: Sora no Kiseki, chapter 1 & 2 for PC, Falcom announces the release of chapter 3 in this series. The game is scheduled to go on sale on June 28, 2007.

The first part of this series, very well known to most MSX users, was also known as 'Dragon Slayer 6, Legend Of Heroes'. Subsequent games in the series dropped their association with the Dragon Slayer saga. The Legend of Heroes III, The Legend of Heroes IV, and The Legend of Heroes V comprised the "Gagharv Trilogy", a set of connected games taking place in the same world. After the conclusion of the Gagharv Trilogy, a new story began with The Legend of Heroes VI: Sora no Kiseki. This game was followed up by The Legend of Heroes: Sora no Kiseki Second Chapter.

The gfx look very nice, but it's a bit of a let down that they're stuck on some flaky 3d models (especially obvious on the ship screenshot). Another example where 3d doesn't seem to improve things.

not msx-related, but if there's one falcom game I like it's Gurumin. Actually, due to the fact the game was released in English for PSP I discovered it was originally a PC game in Asia. I got that game, and despite of the language problems, it's a lot of fun (and I think most MSX users are somewhat familiar with playing games in languages they can't read Wink )

And Legend Of Heroes II? Does that game exist as well?

It does and it is a direct sequel to part I. Is was released for Super Famicom (and later re-released for PSX). It takes place in the world of Legend of Heroes I and the main character is the son of Legend of Heroes' main character.
