During the E3 Expo, Konami revealed they are to release a new installment in the Contra series. At this moment only an extremely short teaser has been revealed, leaving us completely in the dark on the platforms on which Konami is to release this game. On MSX, the original version of Contra (often mistakenly called Gryzor) was released in 1989.

It's not the first time Konami breathes new life into the Contra series, previously they released Contra 4 for Nintendo DS, Neo Contra for Playstation 2, Contra Shattered Soldier for Playstation 2 and Contra Advance: The Alien Wars EX for Gameboy Advance.

Hard Corps Uprising (XBLA/PSN, 2011) may not have Contra in the name, but it's pretty much a Contra game too (prequel to Contra: the Hard Corps, but it plays more like the older NES/SNES versions). It was developed by Arc System Works, published by Konami.
