Catch up on Arsène Lupin

Arsène Lupin III is a well known MSX game character. This character is based on a French book character from author Maurice Leblanc who published 21 books about this master thief. Now you can watch a new movie with Arsène Lupin on DVD at the rentals. The DVD will be released in shops starting July 12th.

The MSX games "Lupin III: Legend of the Gold of Babylon" and "Lupin III: Cagliostro's Castle" are both based on anime movies. The first movie "Rupan sansei: Babiron no Ogon densetsu" or "Rupan III: Legend of the Gold of Babylon" (1985), has only been released on VHS outside Japan. In Japan this movie has been rereleased on DVD as part of the "LUPIN III (Theatrical) DVD Limited box" set in 2003. "Rupan sansei: Kariosutoro no shiro" (1979) or "Cagliostro's Castle" has been rereleased on DVD outside Japan and can be bought at Amazon.com.

Hayao Miyazaki's movie "Lupin III:The Castle of Cagliostro" is a very funny movie.
Think it's only 10 bucks or so at the free record shop under the anime dvd section....must see

There are several books from Maurice Leblanc in english and also from Edgar Jepson.
It is a shame that there is no such thing for MSX games :(

I think it is related yes, given the fact that two MSX games were based on the above mentioned anime movies. I thought some people might be interested. And since people react on this posting with nice additions, including yourself , I won't hesitate to do so somewhere in the future .

true dat sander...since 1 game is based on the movie,msx-ers should have fun watching it.
Might add more to the game I'd say...If SD snatcher was based on an anime,
it would have deserved a mention here as well....right?

That doesn’t make sense... That would mean, a new ghost busters movie would be reported on msx.org as well, and what about a new Turtles animated series, or Back to the Future?

Sure, I would like to see those (well, a new TNMT... nah, unless it’s good), but I agree with pitpan that this is hardly MSX-related and therefore doesn’t ‘really’ belong on msx.org. But no-one died, so... I don’t mind. As long as you don’t make a habit out of it ^_^.
