One Chip MSX poll closed, new poll up

During the pre-order period of the One Chip MSX computer the MSX Resource Center held a poll asking "Is the One Chip MSX going to be ordered more than 5,000 times before August 20th?" 79 people responded to this poll resulting in the following:

  1. No, but I think they will be produced anyway (41.77%)
  2. Not a chance (35.44%)
  3. Perhaps they are going to make it (12.66%)
  4. Yes, definitely (10.13%)

Although the majority voted negatively to the asked question, most people do think the One Chip MSX will be produced anyway.

While we await the final word on the production of the One Chip MSX, please vote on the new poll "How many working MSXes do you currently own?"

It seems that the pool engine is broken. I voted and got an "undefined call" error. I tried to vote again and MRC says I already voted, but the total number of votes is 0...

what are "working MSX'es" ?

MSX'es that technically work but are stored in some hardware-museum in the backroom?
Or MSX'es that are on the desk and in active use?

I suppose the ones that are fully functional? when switched on, logo pops up and you can work with it properly,
with a small defect allowed maybe(?) like a missing key or one joystickport not working...
but at least workeable I suppose....

@Ro, would be nice if it was possible to have a fair poll by only using cookies. Unfortunately the past has proven that is impossible (at least it is here...), so deleting a cookie won't enable you to vote again if you've already voted.

How long does it take to sum up the number of subscriptions, to evaluate the total costs and reveniuses and decide if it worths to produce the system ?
It could be done in 2 hours !!

Artrag - the minimum of 5,000 pre-orders was there for a reason. I expect ASCII Solutions have a lot of negotiating to do. It has only been 3 working days since the pre-order period was closed, I'd say give 'em a bit of time to get things sorted out.

Interesting... on the ASCII OCM page there is that interesting little passage:１チップMSXの正式名称を募集します。募集要項はこちら。10年ぶりに復活する新MSXに画期的な名称をつけよう！Which says, according to the fish:The new name of the One Chip MSX has been sent in. We will select the most striking one for this system, which is finally revived after 10 years!Unless I misinterpreted some of the information, does this indicate that ASCII will produce the OCM for sure? I sincerely hope so! :D
