The yearly MSX game programming challenge has come to an end. Not with the big last minute rush we hoped for, but nonetheless with eight entries; eight brand new MSX1 games, all for free! Let's have a look at this year's harvest:
- NeoPong512 (Z80ST Software) - A pong clone in 32KB
- QBIQS (Z80ST Software) - A clone of Konami's Quarth, 48KB in size
- Ratbox (AG Software) - A labyrinth game in 16KB
- Mission2Mir (Ray2day MSX Software) - a vertical shoot 'm up, 16KB
- Hans' Adventure (The Pets Mode) - a maze game in 48KB
- DAQ Lord of Idar (Darkstone) - a traditional board game in 32KB
- Zombie Near (Óscar Toledo Gutiérrez) - an action/maze game in 128KB
- Heroes Arena (Imanok) - a mix of Pong and Breakout, 32KB
It's now time for the jury members to decide who gets MSXdev'10 gold and what the rest of the ranking should look like. With some games clearly battling for the number one position - and rightly so - this isn't going to be an easy task. While in other years pointing out the winner was much easier, this year it's a different ball game. February 28th, we should know, as that's when the results have been scheduled. Do you have a favorite? Let's hear it!
