101 downloads a gfx9000 game? LOL!

How many gfx9000 cartridges are sold?

Since OpenMSX emulates gfx9000, I don't think it matters anymore how many were sold... Smile

350? oO

Wow!!! 350 + openmsx users sounds interesting.

Let's start to make gfx9000 games right now!

There's a hidden trap though. A g9k makes doing graphical actions easier, faster and better looking, but making the game is just as hard as it was on MSX1, MSX2, MSX2+ or turbo R.

Yes wolf, making sprites for gfx9000 isn't harder than sc5 sprites for msx2. I spent the same time adding colour in gfx9000 than looking the number of colours by line in msx2.

I wish to see in the next years new titles for this cartridge. The number of users is high. There is no excuses.

@guantxip: I'll be awaiting your game then this year.Hannibal

My excuse: I'm simply (still) having too much fun with screen2 and screen4.

The programmer has no time till April to start to look the project. Crying

After that I think he'll need help from other coders, the game is ambitious. Time will say.

Don't lie to yourselves - there should be other explanation to this number of downloads, e.g. dumb internet surfers download MSX software thinking it's something else they need

Who lies Cax?

I only ask, and for my surprise, Wolf says that are 350 units sold. Ask to Sunrise to confirm before call us liar.

I said: "iirc". I could be wrong here, but I vaguely remember this number 350 as it used to be on the forum somewhere, but the Moonsound was also mentioned in the same post.

cax isn't saying that anyone is lying - I think he just means that we should be realistic.

Is possible that the cartridges are sold, but since 1994 to 2010 too much users are not active, this is the problem. Between gfx9000 real users and openmsx users could be real the 101 downloads.
