... and we're back!

So... if you're reading this, it means that we can welcome you to our new server that will be purring along and service you your daily dose of MSX goodness. What's new? Well... nothing really. We just moved to a new server, the site itself didn't change, and all posts and data were transfered. The only thing you might notice is that we use a CDN now, something that should speed up the site a bit for people that are not in Western Europe.

So... nothing new, and the move went smoothly. However, if you do spot something missing or odd, let us know in the comments.

Huh, weird, it's working for me. Could you try refreshing browser cache and/or restarting your browser to see if that fixes things? I suspect some old stuff is hanging around in your cache...

I refreshed the cache and restarted the browser (Firefox) but that link redirects me to msx.org
In Chrome it is working fine.

The servermove already shows to be a great improvement. The speed is much higher. Happy!

Anyone else noticing any difference? Really curious to find out how things have improved in e.g. Brazil.

I have the same with that link in FireFox 29.0.1 and also the banner is realy f#$%t up.

Also in FF when I click the language switch works most of the time, but somtimes I get :

Both sitiuations only happends when NOT logged in, after logging in it looks ok. Except for this advertising after logging in on the spanish site:

The ad is using a transparent background, revealing the fallback logo that shows when there are no ads. Would have happened on the old server as well.

the link and layout are more awkward though, have not been able yo reproduce it yet. Thanks for reporting, we will look further into it.

Just tested this link on Firefox 29 too (on a Mac), and it's working fine for me.

The issue with the weird login screen on the Spanish site (and on the other languages) has been fixed. So you can log in again there and also some of the layout weirdness will be fixed with this.

About the ad that's missing a background: I attempted a fix but it's hard to say if it'll work. If not, well too bad :)

I'm also using Firefox 29.0.1. That link still redirects me to www.msx.org :/
Probably something weird is happening with my cache since all other threads are working fine.

The only thing i've noticed since the server changed is that my browser (Firefox 29.0.1) sometimes gets loading the page in an infinite loop...

But it happens only in the Spanish zone.

One other thing I notice is that the page it self loads quickly, but the music tracker always loads a couple of seconds later. Not sure if this was the same before, just noticing it now.

If I browse to http://msx.org/, it doesn’t redirect me to www.msx.org.

You sure about that? I still get a very white page when I use msx.org instead of www.msx.org/

(And now back to reading some messages from yesterday.)

Maybe not all world wide servers of the CDN are updated correctly? That could explain, why you sometimes get corrupt pages.

Erh.. I just tried find the latest TriloTracker news post using the search function to update with some news but I was unable to find any relevant results. Is that normal? Are news posts exluded from the search?

Also seems like the results never are newer than 2011?

The search index is still rebuilding; apparently only half of the content is indexed yet. I've sped up the rebuild process so that the index should be complete somewhere tomorrow.

't Works for me. I did make some changes to filter out some obvious crap, so it might refresh less quickly because of that.

It’s showing up, but the last video I see is from the 15th which coincides with the site migration. It used to show new videos pretty much every day, I can’t believe nobody posted any MSX videos for 10 days. I just posted a video myself yesterday, and it didn’t show up either.

When I'm not logged in onto msx.org and after clicking on 'Wiki' I have to login twice when using IE & FW.
When using Chrome it is impossible to login from the 'Wiki' page.

I can confirm the wiki issue. When I go to the wiki page it says I’m logged out and I can’t log in. When I navigate back outside the wiki, I am logged in again. Using Firefox.

Also, Youtube feed is still not working.
