Eggerland 2, published in 1986 by HAL Laboratory is a great sequel to the original Eggerland Mystery, with a giant labyrinth with new enemies, special items and very tricky puzzles.

To help you in this maze of 121 stages, maps were made. However, a map was missing. mars2000you has created this missing map that will be very useful for gamers and fans of the Eggerland serie, also known on other systems as the Adventures of Lolo.

In addition to the Eggerland 2 map, mars200you also created a map for Eggerland for the Family Computer Disk System. This game is in many ways the definite version of Eggerland 2, without the bugs of the MSX version and with extras like more music, an original intro and a longer ending. The map for the Famicom Disk System version can also be downloaded from mars200you's site.

For the people who are interested to know the main bugs that have been fixed in the Famicom version :

- all water stages have at least one heart and a key to collect
- it's no more possible to use the trick with the brick on a bridge in the lava stages
- stage 30 is slightly less difficult (and can be solved from the South, contrary to what I've read on Wikipedia)
- walking on the grass to get a flower works now only in stage 52
- no more a stage with access to 2 special stages (one hidden, one not hidden)

I'm now working on a conversion/adaptation of the Eggerland 2 stages to play them in Eggerland Mystery. If some stages can remain unchanged, I need to modify those with new enemies and/or new elements. For example, lava needs to be replaced by water, water stages need a solid ground to start, don medusas need to be replaced by medusas, and of course other changes are required, especially for the tricky stages. I've also noticed a limitation in the first Eggerland : only 10 monsters of the same 'family' can be displayed on the screen. The result will give less difficult stages and more fun with Eggerland Mystery.

Maybe later the same work with the more than 150 stages of the fourth Eggerland : Eggerland Meikyuu no Fukkatsu (Eggerland: Revival of the Labyrinth) that seems to be the more complicated game of the serie. Unfortunaly only released on Famicom. But why HAL does has forgotten the MSX system ???

Nice maps!!!
I always thought it was a shame they didn't make a level editor for Eggerland 2. So much extra fun could have been had with creating levels for the more elaborate possibilities that game has...

Wouldn't it be interesting to make an IPS patch to fix the bugs in the MSX version too? Tongue

125 'new' stages for Eggerland Mystery (actually, they are based on Eggerland 2 on MSX and Eggerland on Famicom) :

Superspeed will only work automatically in this stage if you have completed first the 4 hidden special stages.
