Gremlin Graphics must not have forseen what monster they created back in 1986. They unleashed Trailblazer on their audience. The game got released and ported on several platforms during the 80s. The fanbase of the game never seemed to die, since it received some amateur remakes during the last decade.

Blazing Trails is one of the fan remakes. Though, author Allan Bentham must have not been satisfied by the result, since he started yet another remake on modern hardware. Last June he finished his three years of hard work, making his fellow Trailblazing fans happy with Blazing Trails 2.

Well, the second one doesn't work, but the first one runs smoothly on my PC and is pretty awesome. I don't hear any music, though, only sound effects. Anyone else does?

Hey look, they're working on remakes of things like Abu Simbel and Alien8, too:

Really? I tend to like it. Actually, at the moment I'm making a compilation for youtube of "My Favorite 25 Western MSX PSG Music" and the original Trailblazer music is among them. Wink
