Today, a new version of the MSX emulator for Nokia Series 60 phones was released. This emulator makes it possible to run MSX software on Nokia 3650, Nokia 7650, Nokia N-Gage and Nokia 6600 phones. The emulator might also run on other mobile phones that run on Symbian OS, but this has not been verified as of yet. Changes in the new release:
- Disk autorun for programs that can be RUN or BLOADed from BASIC
- Disk images created by the emulator are 360kB instead of 320kB
- Sound system resets correctly when the emulator is reset
- Speed optimizations and other fixes in the Z80 core
- Many missing undocumented Z80 opcodes added (all should be supported now)
- Rewrote frame skipping code, now it works as it should
- Smaller non-critical bug fixes
Most of these changes were suggested and discussed in this forum thread. We recommend using Sousuke's ROMPackager for installing the System ROMs and software you want to use with this emulator.
