One question for current users:

Internal PSG, SCC+, OPLL (YM2413), OPL (YM3526), OPL2 (YM3812) and OPL3 (YMF262).

Does really have already implemented all these sound chips, or still in progress? Thanks.

Yes, you have to disable the external slot 1 and 2 to enable OPL3 emulation (which includes the OPL and OPL2)

Does anyone know how the slots work via the rear expansion port? That one seems to support multiple slots using the same protocol/wiring as 8bits4ever's 4-slot expander, but maybe some of those are the same as the top slots? Also is there any key combination to toggle external slots like in earlier SX-1 Mini+? With the older model I found that helpful when dumping carts, but I can't seem to make it work in this model

And a slot map for each of the different configurations could help a lot in understanding how to use it

1. I can't play MSX2+ games on my SX-2, is there a way to get MSX2+ compatibility running?

2. Also, same thing with V9990 games?

1. SX2 should run MSX2+ just fine. Do you use SD-BIOS? Which game doesn’t work?

2. V9990 is not implemented in SX-2, or any one chip MSX so far. It supposedly will be incorporated into MSX3. For now you will need a GFX9000 or similar clone.

Regarding SD-BIOS, I'm not sure of the update procedure, so, I have just been booting to MSDOS2 with what came on the SD image that came with the link in the invoice from 8bits4ever. Then I use SOFARUN. The latest SD-Bios is v3.4. Does this work from the SD card or does it require firmware update? Also, would I need something like the OCM-PLD Pack v3.9 firmware to use the SD-BIOS v3.4?

None of the MSX2+ games work. I get "unable to open" and it goes to A:\TMP>.

Regarding the V9990. Can I just plug something like the V9990 Powergraph Light into slot 1 on my SX-2 and hook the VGA cable to it and run V9990 games off of my sd card?

Note: I suppose we need to combine these.
UPDATE: I took the MSX2+ files out of a zip file and put them in a regular folder and now Playboy Strip Poker will boot to the title screen and then freeze (starting with single disk games) then tried Aparmyadock and after going throught the boot up process got "Boot error: not enough memory for BASIC variables". Gladius and Govellius 2 did work properly.
