For a MoG-style game, I think multiple parallel quests would work better. I am not sure why would that be more "arcade" (I think it's the opposite, right?). If you think of the classic RPGs, like Might and Magic, Bard's Tale, etc. there were always many parallel quests you did in whichever order you preferred (although your strength level kind of guided you more or less). Also, if there's different possible orders, then there is more to talk about with friends: "which quest did you do first? I think doing X is better, as I can get that item to help me with Y", etc.
But as people said above, I think both could work well! So, I just have a slight preference towards "parallel quests"

yeah, I agree. And more replies here agree too, so let's do multiple parallel quests.
-Will be great 2 kinds sword slash, uper one and the clasic one.
-dont touch too much, must be galious.
-save games without nasty demeter
-treasure chests.Because everybody loves chests.
I have finished to design/program the whole game (PC, simulation of MSX2), adding some stuff you have asked.
Right now a MoG big fan is playing it and will tell me if anything needs to be adjusted/changed.
Excellent news! Very excited that this is happening!!!
Great news!
Can't wait to see some game play of this.
Hello everyone.
At this point we have closed the game design. No more stuff will be added or modified.
Thank you everyone for the ideas you gave us, some of them really changed the game.

pd: I will keep informing about the progress of the game in a different thread.
Hi! Don`t know if it was suggested before. What about the nice animation when you pause the game? Greetings!
Yeah the toilet animation was amazing. I hope fun things like that are in the game. But I am sure I will love the game!!
