Why does the NEOS RM-48 page recommends against the purchase of this RAM expansion?

In the majority of the machines that have 16KB of RAM, it is situated on the slot-0. This means that the page-3 will always be found first by the BIOS, and the RAM will be split across slots regardless if the owner purchased a 48KB or a 64KB RAM expansion.

You have right. I thought to delete this comment but a 64KB RAM expansion does not cost more and maybe someday someone will develop software like BMMS for 64kB expansion.

Indeed, the price seems not to be the main concern here. Probably a modern memory mapper will be cheaper than any of those rare plain-RAM expansions anyway.

Since that note was copied to nearly all memory expansion pages, maybe it would be more advisable to adjust it like a recommendation for novice users:

-----
Note:
This is an old plain-RAM memory expansion that has more value as a collectors item than practical use. If you are a novice user looking for practical memory expansion, it's recommended to buy a modern Memory Mapper cartridge with at least 512KB of RAM and MSX1 backwards compatibility. Check this page for more information.

It's preferable to leave a general note in case people want to build a similar expansion.

That page says MSX2 has memory mapper, but that's not true. It's optional.

Mars, according to the label on the cartridge the Canon cartridge set was the VW-100 and not the VWU-100.

page 172 with the picture showing VW-100, and the VWU-100 in the text:
https://issuu.com/msxblog/docs/msx_magazine_1985_12

I consider the picture to be more reliable, since it came from Canon. The VWU in the title may just be a typo.

The inside back-cover page of
https://issuu.com/msxblog/docs/msx_magazine_1986_01
also mentions the cartridge, but it is just a very small picture so you cannot really see anything. It does mention the V-Word name though.

Later issues may contain more info, but I did not check them yet.
