Do like the Toshiba HX-10 is the best compromise. I'm not leaving to group like HB-700. I no longer working on these pages thereafter.

I've made a compromise between both approaches: a general page about HB-F700 without any pictures but all descriptions and specifications are included (something similar to Toshiba HX-10 but also different as they were more differences between the different HX-10 than for HB-F700), and specific pages with mainly only the pictures, so we have space to include also firmware pictures with specific language !

Nice work, looks more clean now.

This is not a good idea to group models of different countries on a single page. This gives no advantage.

It does: reduction of needlessly duplicated info like you see on many Wiki pages. Especially when differences between models are minimal.

It gets messy for pictures.

Indeed. Sorry I hadn't thought about that in this case. Of course the proper solution is to let each model keep its own page, listing only model-specific differences like keyboard layout (and pictures Wink ). And then refer to a general page that describes what's common to all those machines.

If it's something specific about (for example) the -P model, list it there. If it's common to all of -D/F/P/S models, list it in the HB-F700 page.

The models with minimal differences are not numerous. The some duplicated Wiki pages do not interfere. Rather, they allow more detail on each model. Now the pages are cut and there is an additional page for similar models (HB-F700 and HX-10, ...). Where is the advantage? It's not more clean and for exemple if a person knows well the HB-F700F but not other models and wants to add something specific, this guy will probably give up because now each addition depends on other similar models.

OK, so what was the problem of a single page with several sections for the specific regional models, in which the specifics, including photos and screenshot could be placed?
Such sections can be linked to too, so it is possible to put a redirect of an article with a specific model name directly to the subsection of the complete article of that model. E.g. a Sony HB-F700D could redirect to the German model section of the generic Sony HB-F700 "series(?)" article. The general info that is common for all of these could then be put at the top.
I think it's done like this in several Wikipedia articles, as someone already mentioned earlier.

It will become a too long Wiki page, especially if someone adds several screenshots of the different versions of the same software for this machine. (It's my intention, but it's not a priority at the moment)

For example, these pages are very too long, details about specific MSX-AUDIO or MSX-MUSIC cartridges should be on separate pages :
https://www.msx.org/wiki/MSX-MUSIC
https://www.msx.org/wiki/MSX-AUDIO
Imagine what will happen with addition of screenshots and explanations about the software of these cartridges ? A even longer page !

By comparison, I prefer the approach I've used for Yamaha SFG :

https://www.msx.org/wiki/Yamaha_SFG
https://www.msx.org/wiki/Yamaha_SFG-01
https://www.msx.org/wiki/Yamaha_SFG-05

I guess it's a matter of taste. The Table of Contents at the top helps the user to navigate through the long article (and gives you the links to subparts too).
But why reinvent the wheel? On Wikipedia, thousands of people have thought about solving this problem before and the nature of the wiki has evolutionary led to the best practices, one would say...

Don't forget that addition of more and more pictures will make slower the loading of the page and discourage to read the contents, at least for people who will 'enjoy' this kind of trouble on their system.

So, an equilibrium needs to be respected and in the HB-F700 case, my solution is a good compromise by comparison with 2 'extreme' solutions : one unique very long page (as you suggest) or several pages about the different versions with repetition of the specifications on each page (as it was before recent change by RetroTechie and myself).

Is slower loading going to happen with nowaday's internet speeds? Why would the pictures discourage to read the contents? What kind of trouble do you mean?

Anyway, if you wish to choose another solution than the whole of Wikipedia did, who am I to be against it...

These days a lot of users has limited bandwidth on mobile, some with data caps. I don't know about mrc but a lot of websites are reporting over 50% of traffic coming from mobile.
