I'm not sure if this is a request:

I was wondering if the pages https://www.msx.org/wiki/MSX1 and https://www.msx.org/wiki/Category:MSX1 should have its' contents unified. Seems logic to have all generic information about MSX1 on the page which describes the category and group MSX models. I'm asking before doing because its a great change, and I'm not sure about this wiki guidelines. (maybe someone would undo my job and that wouldn't be cool)

Of course the same would be done for https://www.msx.org/wiki/MSX2 and https://www.msx.org/wiki/Category:MSX2,
https://www.msx.org/wiki/MSX2+ and https://www.msx.org/wiki/Category:MSX2+,
https://www.msx.org/wiki/MSX_turboR and https://www.msx.org/wiki/Category:MSX_turbo-R.

About The DE0 and DE1 pages @Alexandre_Taito mentioned, maybe this could be linked on the OCM category, also the Zemmix Neo initiative...

I think an article about an MSX generation is semantically different from a category... of course they can link to each other.

The MSX (1/2/2+/TR) category page is "empty", it is just a huge deposit of links to the computer models and some others (VDP articles for instance), That's why i would unify its contents.

There are so many MSX1 computers ; the current situation has the advantage that if you are searching for a specific MSX1 computer, you'll find it very fast without need to go down below all the MSX1 specifications.

The same can be said for MSX2, MSX2+ and MSXturboR, although there are less machines as for MSX1.

Note the links on category pages are generated automatically.

Exactly. The category pages only have one line of code.

I am wondering now: Is it ok to create categories for common (or not so common) MSX specifications?

Let's say that I'm looking for a MSX with Digitize capabilities. If I'm going to look for it today, I have to enter EACH COMPUTER PAGE and look in the article. The same for, say, international keyboard.

Or there is a SIMPLE way to search by keywords? (DON'T even try to tell me to use MRC Search, there's no simple way to use that thing)

[[Category:YourCategoryHere]]

That's the idea; adding categories to articles to have them automatically listed in individual categories. Choose your category name wisely.. Hannibal

Fix the displaying issue of items in lists when we are not connected would be a good start before changing anything.

For example, the list of MSX1 seems to be remain stuck at 156 pages for several weeks ago. Many MSX1 are not listed like National CF-1200, CF-2000, FS-1300, FS-4000, etc when we are not connected.

Oddly missing MSX1 are listed on the following list.

(To see it, you need access to the site as a guest (not connected) with the cache of your navigator emptied)

I have another suggestion about these MSX model pages: there is currently a lot of duplications between localized versions of machines. E.g. Sony HB-F700P, HB-F700S, HB-F700F. Why not merge them into a single article and have the differences between localized versions into a paragraph in the article? Especially when there are no other differences than the keyboard (and thus the ROM). That saves a lot of duplication and problems with articles of one localization running behind others, as people will not think of editing the same changes into all the separate articles of the other localizations...
