msx.org was my favorite site, but since dicussions with Patriek, thinking you guys can stand above everyone, the respect from me for this site has fallen. Have also respect for other msx users and forums and give them a change/opportunity the track msx users...
At my work some people recognised this marv.. computer and they also might come with me to Bussum, to see what happended the last few years...
What's the matter Koetje? Now that the hype is over the visitor count on MSX posse dropped back to zer0 again? Need to do a little advertising on good-old msx.org to see if you can lure someone to your great msx site? Good luck with that!
Well, looks like everyone is back to mother MRC Oh goody!
msxposse.org is a nice forum, but it's not very active, plus there is nothing much other then the forum itself
Gee, I wonder what happened to msxposse.com is a very modest site, just an instance of stock phpBB with site specific logo. But you know what? It works really great! With all the imperfections. I don't like the name too much, I probably would've come up with a more agreeable, but who cares? Discussions are constructive and people are friendly. To me, as a lonely MSX user in Canada, that is much more important then constant arrogant Dutch scene supremacy proclamations and dispise to the rest of the world (well with exception of M$ and Nishi rectal massage)
snout, if you can implement a feature, where users can create an ignore list (for instance I want to ignore all GuyveR800 messages so I don't offend him by my rude un-Dutch answers ) it will greatly pacify forums and make them much more attractiveShould we add a block function for 'M$ and Nishi rectal massages' as well?
If the feature I am asking for will be implemented, you can put me in your filter, and this way you will never hear about rectal massage and many many other wonderful things
I think we'll only be going in circles here. The MRC team (really, it's not only a snout show, we're with 21 people here) is doing the best they can to keep the MRC active, interesting and comfortable for as many MSX minded people as possible. We have however found out it's not possible to please everybody. So be it. I see no reason for throwing mud at MRC nor msxposse just because you don't feel 100% comfortable over here (or there). Why don't you just use the parts of MRC and MSXposse (or any other site) you like and try to give constructive feedback on the parts you like less instead of trying to bring it all down just because a site doesn't fully meet your expectations.
The purpose of the MRC (and its forums) is to create and maintain a central place where MSX friends can get up to date on the latest news and meet each other, not to avoid each other. Adding an ignore function to the forums just doesn't fit in there. If we all just try and keep the forum policies in mind and stop making things bigger than they are I'm sure we'll all get along well enough anyway (as is the case 99,9% of the time). If you read something you don't like I recommend you to contact us about it (or use the mod alert) instead of making a big fuzz out of it in public, thus letting things escalate.

So, no plans for personal ignore list?
Can you tell why you think it's not a good idea?

Why don't you implement an ignore feature into yourself? We're all grown ups, aren't we? Hence we shouldn't feel the need to be too much annoyed by what in our opinion are dumbasses.

Hmmm... Wasn't there a emoticon for that one? I thought it was some confused little penguin.
Thanks... Still don't know the bbcode for it though, but I guess it'll have to wait until they're clickable @ reply again.
