Woody Pop was modified (hack made by megaman3000) for use the standard SMS Joypad with two buttons my work was the adaptation for MSX-FRANKY so any MSX Joystick work great with this game.

I'm curious about this thread... If one has a PlaySoniq then these SMS games generally "just work" with the PSQTools and these conversions aren't needed. Right?
