Hey guys,

I am looking for a website that host new MSX basic games (all games written 100% in MSX basic) and compiled into ROM or left as .bas file. I want this website if possible to update newly with new MSX basic games. Can someone help me on this one?

Also, where can I find the best resource ever for MSX that have all MSX basic games in books (the source code) where I have to write them back into the system and these books as PDF?

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciate it. I have some fetish for MSX Basic games for some reason...I LOVE MSX BASIC!! Smile

It's a bit Dutch and all, but here would be a good place.
Check out right top especially: Listingboeken. These are compilations of what's released in the separate magazines. If you rather have the .bas files than typing what's in the books, these magazines come with diskimages.

Is there an automated tool to translate PDFs? It's 2021, OCR and machine translation are technologies 20-30 years old by now...

if you input a complete listing and there's some dutch in the listing, i bet for those few words google translate would do. It's not just text adventures in there Wink

I was thinking along the line, also. It will be like a fun project. I will get my iPad open..write those words in google translate and just translate them. It will be fun, plus I get to enjoy typing on my soon to be MSX 2 computer. Eeeeeeeeeee!! THIS IS FUN!!!

There are also a tons of magazines from other countries on the internet. On https://archive.org/details/texts you can look for instance MSX Fan or MSX Magazine (Japanese magazines) but also other ones. The Japanese magazines have some really good games. And some of them have not been entered by people outside of Japan. For instance the MSX Magazines before september 1990 (later ones are probably on disks) and MSX Fan if the listings are not in the Fandom program collections 1-8.

By the way, are you gonna share listings that you do (especially if they are translated)? Because more people might be interested in that.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but this blog (http://msxbasic.blogspot.com/) has a lot of type-in MSX BASIC games, mostly from Spanish magazines.
A lot of games to add to your collection! :-)
