What about MSXdev Collection?

I saw on Matra's site that CPCRetroDev make a tape with all/best games of each year competition (http://www.matranet.net/boutique/cpc/cpcdev2019/cpcdev2019.php).
I think it would be great if the MSX community could have the same kind of collection but on a ROM (the default MSX game media).
I don't know how the income could be distributed fairly, but in any case it's the kind of collection I would love to buy.
Have there ever been any attempts or projects in this direction?

A cartridge of all best games until now would be nice but I'm sure that it would cause problems of money with authors even by selling the cartridge at cost price. Moreover, it is not easy to mix games 16/32kB and games 48/64kB in one cartridge.

Concerning the economics of it, if anyone decides to do this and want to include any of my games, I am totally ok not getting any money for it. I'd be happy enough with people playing the games Wink

I thought about one cartridge per year.
Contacting all the authors of the old games is maybe too complicated, but we could at least start this year with a cartridge including all the (best) games of the MSXdev'21.

It's a good idea, but I would not start with this year's games as usually four or five get released on their own cartridge, and they should first have this opportunity before being released as a compilation.

I am absolutely in favor of cartridge compilations.
And, generally, apart MSXdev, Personally, i think that it's really a shame that there has never been a cartridge version of Montana John...

Well, but what about megarom games? How can you fit them in a cartridge along others? And often msxdev entries aren't really the final versions...
