Please do. I only have a Zemmix here and even that machine doesn't behave like a "real" MSX sometimes ;-)
Thanks for the notifications. I've been busy on MSX to SMS lately, I can still multitask on all these systems.
for some reason, sound's awful @ webmsx with some high pitched tones in the background.
Would be lovely if someone can confirm if that happens on a real MSX.
*PS* Luckily, as we're all getting really old, maybe we'll miss those tones.
I'm not hearing these on openMSX at least. (And I do hear them in WebMSX.)
Also hbarcellos, I checked out the Time Pilot project that he did, he is doing a very good job on SN76489 to AY-3-8910 emulation. :-)
I decided to do Gorf, and pretty much, it's decent. :-)
Popeye and Time Pilot seems work fine on my real MSXs. Good job! Popeye is a nicer game I thought.
By cons, the sound of Time Pilot is sometimes average, sometimes almost good and sometimes bad. I prefer the SCC version.
Another thing, it's hard to get these Roms to work on a real MSX. They do not work on Device with Mapper.
Hey thank you.
Which version of Time Pilot you guys are testing? Afaik, the only one released, was the one with a completely new jukebox, natively using ay sfx made by Toni Galvez.
In fact, there is another version, somewhere, converted to use the alpha version of the SN emulator, with preliminary noise support (the same one I used on a version of Gyruss), but I don’t recap releasing it as it was not good enough.
Woops...

Just assembled this one with the latest SN emulator which *tries* to implement noise. Still not usable.
Here's the emulator I have used to assemble this version:
