Night Knight is a single-screen platformer with a strong classic arcade feel. Race against the clock to step over all the tiles in the room, pick up the key and exit through the door to the next stage. The game has 80 stages, can be played with the keyboard cursor or a joystick. Night Knight has been released today.

Earlier we reported about the new game Night Knight and how to pre-order a physical copy of this MSX title. Its set date for release was the 15th of May, which is today.

Night Knight is available on cartridge to play on any MSX computer, you can order your hard copy at Poly Play online. Shop for more information. The MSX1 game is also available for download on Juan's web-site and runs perfectly in your fave emulator.

Looks nice. Plays nice. Fun thing is that you can drag and drop the link with the zip file on Juan's website directly to webmsx to play.

This is a masterpiece. Simple and smooth gameplay and it's very addictive too. Cleverly designed. Well done Juan. I rarely play games these days, but Night Knight got me back into gaming.

Lovely game! It would have been perfect if it had simultaneous 2 player mode.

I'm losing confidence in polyplay. I also bought chibi akuma from them and that doesn't even work.

All people ordering the game should have received today an email from Poly Play (check in your spam folder, xyz domains sometimes are automatically classified as spam). There were some issues that have been fixed now and the game will be shipping on Monday (and you should receive another email then).

(I don't know about the issues other than what Poly mentioned on the email)

I asked Poly Play and they confirmed that it was sent on Tuesday (Monday was holiday in Germany, and Poly forgot about that).

I'm also waiting for my copy!

The last 3 games I have completed:

Shenmue II (Dreamcast, 2002)
Super Monkey Ball II (Gamecube, 2003)
Night Knight (MSX, 2019)

Amazing game. The concept of having really differenlty behaving enemies works very well. I've been using the save state option of WebMSX A LOT, as I'm old now, but I've enjoyed it.

Thanks Thom for your kind words!

Saving state (or using the passwords) is necessary. 80 stages are a lot of stages and, although I spent a lot of time play testing, it is possible that the difficulty of some of them is a bit too much.

I'm very pleased with the reception of the game, specially being my first MSX project!
