I'm happy to announce the first revision of my "Konami's MSX Legacy" book. Some people have contacted me with additions and corrections, and I've added a few things myself as well.
Throughout the whole book lots of English mistakes have been corrected, and the following pages were updated:
Page 32: Added Japanese packaging from Sony Computer Billiards.
Page 48: Added a picture of the metal box (JE502).
Page 71: Comic Backery for C64 is a port, not a clone.
Page 76: Typo in hardcoregaming101.
Page 164: Added MSX version of Goonies 'r Good Enough.
Page 190: Knightmare is not the first game with end bosses.
Page 222: Hedgehogs replaced by Sea Urchins.
Page 234: Typo in Frankensteins monster.
Page 389: Added that Gradius Rebirth is a prequel to Nemesis 2.
Page 491: Glitch in the maps corrected.
Page 492: Glitch in the maps corrected.
Page 500: Colors of the Parodius box were wrong.
Page 507: Parodius Portable MSX remake added
Page 515: Added small European box of King's Valley II.
Page 569 and onwards: Lots of corrections for Nemesis 3, including missing hidden locations.
Page 573: The hidden extra weapons on the maps of Nemesis 3 where not clearly visible.
Page 671: Added that Gradius Rebirth contains a reference to Metal Gear.
Page 629: Metal Gear 2 artwork by Yoshiyuki Takani added.
Page 650-651: Added that Zemina is actually a South Koran company.
Page 756: Added Super Cobra and Hyper Sports to the list of fonts that are different.
Page 772: Pooyan for Windows added.
Page 823: Added that the WII Virtual Console is not available anymore.
Page 829: Added reference to Amazon Music Unlimited.
Page 828: Added GAME SOUND LEGEND SERIES Konami Game Music VOL4 .
Page 831: Legend of Game Music Premium Box added.
Page 832: Legend of Game Music Consumer Box added.
Page 833: Fixed typing mistake.
For those who waited until now, the latest version of the book is available starting from today. But WATCH OUT. Some distributors still have old copies in stock. When the book can be shipped in a few days, you'll certainly get an OLD version (still a nice book, but it doesn't have the corrections mentioned above).
I'll also distribute the corrections in a PDF file if you already bought the book.
