@hamlet

There are two apps to view jpg files on an MSX>=2: JLD and JPD. But an MSX Turbo-R is seriously recommended.

Mmmm... Viewing RAW files could be faster of course, most of the time would be spent in scaling down the super-high resolutions to MSX screen! Nice thing would be to put your SD card directly from the camera to the MSX.

Indeed! But the restriction in this case is the FAT32 support. Only SymbOS has support for that, while Nextor still only supports FAT16.

Not true, GR8NET supports FAT32 as well, with hardware acceleration even.

Unless the camera can write to FAT16 SD Card ?

Good to use old hardware. The Canon uses FAT16 on its CF card.
I can save both simultaousely, RAW and a much smaller (4MP) JPG. That way the MSX could use the JPGs, the Mac the much bigger RAWs.

I'm going to test the two jpg apps this evening.
Why I need this, is I want to print a picture album with both, the original picture and a MSX screenshot side by side. I don't want to crop the images on a modern Mac but want to stay authentical with a MSX converted image.
And it would be very cool, to connect a high end modern dslr to a MSX!

You can also convert that image on PC using my MIF Tools (check on my website), and display that on MSX with MIFVIEW.COM. Quality will probably be better and you'll have choice between all screen modes.

Ah, sorry for that! I heard the MIF tools (including MIFui) are working under Wine if you'e really Windows-phobic Smile
