Tape don't load any game

Hi my friends,
I bought a used msx , everything seems to work but when I write RUN "cas:" and i press play on tape,
tape don't start...
If I unplug the Rem cable ,tape start but the game does not load...
help me please!! Sad

Sounds like it could be the connector or the MSX. Do you hear a loud click after you press enter?

Yes, a relay will unshort the REM cable when a load command is issued (or "MOTOR ON" in basic). That will signal the tape player it is OK to play. But if that is the only problem, it should load fine without the REM cable, which it does not...

Does your tape player have a speaker for monitoring playback?

This may feel like a dumb question, but are you certain which command your program uses to load? (it could be load=run, bload or even cload...)

try reverse microphone and speakers plug on the tape player
