Does someone have this rare machine ? Eventually, he could dump the rom, so I should be able to add this machine to blueMSX.

As you can see on the picture, the keyboard is Spanish, but it’s not the standard Spanish MSX keyboard.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Any Dalent DPC 200 ROM dump from Argentina should be almost the same Big smile

As I mentioned in the Spanish forum: Dynadata = Talent = Daewoo

@pitpan : the keyboard layout is different, especially when you see 2 (? partially) dead keys for the accents instead of only one dead key :

Here's a uncomplete (and partially unsure) list of the changes in the BIOS rom (from Talent to Dynadata) :

DB1 5C = \ replaced by 5E = ^
DB2 5B = [ replaced by accent ´
DB3 5D = ] replaced by accent `

DB5 27 = ' replaced by 3B = ;
DB6 3B = ; replaced by 87 = ç

DB9 2F = / replaced by 27 = '
DBA accent ´ maybe replaced by 3C = <

DD6 21 = ! replaced by 7C = |
DD7 40 = @ replaced by A8 = ¿

DDB 5E = ^ replaced by 2F = /

DE1 7C = | replaced by 5C = \
DE2 7B = { replaced by accent ¨
DE3 7D = } replaced by accent ^

DE5 22 = " replaced by 3A = :
DE6 3A = : replaced by  80 = ç (capital)
DE7 3C = < replaced by 3F = ?
DE8 3E = > replaced by 21 = !
DE9 3F = ? replaced by 22 = "
DEA acccent ` maybe replaced by 3E = >

E6E 87 = ç maybe replaced by 7B = {

E7A accent ~ maybe replaced 5B = [

E9E 80 = ç (capital) maybe replaced by 7D = }

EA9 A8 = ¿ maybe replaced by  40 = @
EAA accent ^ maybe replaced by 5D = ]

Without a real dump, it is not possible to be sure about some changes and it's very difficult with the presence of two (partially) dead keys instead of only one dead key.

The deadkey on the Talent DPC 200 (not Dalent), works to set 4 accents types, also originally it is a english keyboard, not spanish!.

Atleast the firsts Talent DPC 200 were made with english keyboard, it is done based on PCB board and individual mechanical switches soldered to the PCB.

When then, the TPC-310 and DPC-300 come out, keyboards were out with spanish keyboard with membrane style mechanism, as seen in the picture.

So basically there is two MSX keyboard configurations for the same MSX MODEL as it was labeled.

I had the one with english keyboard when kid. And If IIRC my mother buyed it in 1985.

It looks like that one Talent DPC-200 with English keyboard is currently available on eBay :

yes, that one as you see in the F5 unpopulated key is the keyboard with individual mechanical switches soldered in the PCB. Not membrane there.

The other DPC200 share the keyboard of the TPC 310, it is membrane based and spanish.

So there must be 2 configurations for the DPC200 in emulators.

Is the Talent DPC-200 with Spanish keyboard actually named as DPC-200A ?

The "A' appears on the machine, but not on the box.

Nah, I thinks the 'A' is because it is using the same case + power supply than the tcp-310 plus spanish membrane keyboard, so that one is a later model, like from 1986 or later.

As about power supply matters, the DPC200 originally had one with a STK module regulator, expensive....

In the TCP 310 and later DPC200 and imagine that DPC200A aswell, them have a power supply with discrete transistors as regulators. Plus the SAFETY switches for the cartridge slot were removed and jumped in the power supply PCB.

Sounds like a lot of budge cuts.

But as you can see in this picture, no 'A' in the label.

Also there is the DPC-300 or maybe is TPC300 model IIRC, that is the same PCB than the TCP310 but (with the v9938 + 64K VRAM only), without clock function populated (discrete components unpopulated), and with MSX1 ROMS that don't require RTC be present.

I thinks, as the msx1 were cheaper, them sold better, and in the factory start using the parts for the MSX2 to build up msx1, before the bankrupt.

Take a look at this video :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wmsbl3itjk

Talent DPC-300 has version 2.1 of MSX-BASIC, just like the TPC-310.

According to the DPC-300 manual, that indicates wrongly BASIC 2.0, the machine has 128 KB RAM and 128 kb VRAM, like the TPC-310 :
