hey guys,

I thought you might enjoy this. I've been meaning to do it for months and months and only got around to doing this now. A cover of the Mohenjo Daro theme from Treasure of USAS

Last month I won the VGCover subreddit contest with a cover of the intro music for Dune on amiga and PC and other thank bragging rights, the winner gets to pick the theme for the next contest so I chose MSX. So there should be a few more MSX covers from various artists coming out this month :)

Wow, really well done! And acoustic. It sounds great!

That VGCover subreddit sounds similar to ocremix.org :). Cool that you picked MSX Games as the next theme, looking forward to what will come from it! A lot of enthusiasm for the theme in the thread, it seems.

Great job Ollie. I love the music from Treasure of Usas, although sad to say I'm still on Stage 3, I never made it to Stage 5.

@Ollie: hover over NEWS menu item > submit news.
I am not sure if you can navigate to that on touch-devices though.. :P :)

Submitting a news item for something is something any registered (/logged in) user can do.. (So anyone can pick this up in that regard.. ;))

(Then, perhaps most interesting (effective) is to have a news item on the whole Pixel Mixers Cover Contest (#2 - MSX games) ?)

@Meits: yeah, only too bad we're about a month (too) late? (The deadline was yesterday).
A bit of a shame, the contest could have had some more exposure otherwise?
Also a bit of a pity perhaps the TS only linked to vids with ((for a part / to a certain extent) mediocre?) PSG music.. Could/should have included the soundtracks of e.g. Space Manbow, Penguin Adventure & Xak..

BUT, I really don't want to sound (too) negative here, we're spoiled, and this is already very cool anyway!

yeah . actually I'm slightly disappointed in the participation. There was a lot of very good musicians that sounded enthusiastic but ended up not doing anything at the end. shame. Still it got some attention and got me to finally do a USAS cover Still have to work on the knightmare tune at some point.
