Oh, so great!!!
Damn.
forgot about this. But not all is lost. im working on a rebuild of the site:
And it seems i need to stay @ home for some time (corona) so hopefully get some time to spend on the site and the floppy (images) for Dome !
i'll be back B-)
Oh, so great!!!
And you can even play the Amiga version on MSX as well: Dune - Amiga intro (actually this is Dune 1).
Hi Whizzy,
I still have all the Alpha and Beta versions of Dome on my computer, also the soundtrack you made back in the days.
those versions are quite playable, almost like a skirmish level from dyune2.
I don't know if you've got them as well.
If not please let me know and I'm more than happy to send them to you.
Whizzy: any progress on the Paragon MSX site? Seems the site is completely offline now?
Well, I hope Whizzy doesn't mind but I've placed the Alpha 1, Alpha3 and Beta version of Dome on youtube, so everybody can see how great this game could have become!
Alpha 1 version:

If it is a problem, ofcourse I will delete these...
Oh wow JGM, that looks amazing. Do you know how much of the game is missing from what was intended from the beta? Would this still be possible to finish?
I know that 20 years ago they kept a WIP on there site. And how more they added to this game, how more bugs they encountered as well. Alpha 3 is quite playable, because you can create new units by simply pressing the spacebar, if you have enough funds ofcourse. I couldnt produce units with the Beta version, wich makes it impossible to win... but the radar and the windtraps are working...
.
uhm.. i may be onto something here
to be continued....
Dare I dream?
