Hello

I realize last year a clone map of BERT with ROM v2.60 successfully with the help of which MSXVillage Jipe
the card allows the connection of an HDD or a Zip100 or MO230 we all walk on CDROM no known driver

for your problem of HDD checked:
your endings on the HDD if active or not
that of your card in the right direction

otherwise look at the article on the site MSX VILLAGE

Bastion Rebel,

I watched all the 13 pages on MSX Village about the B.E.R.T. today.
I translate many pages from french to dutch.
Reversed engineering an otherman's idea about our PCB must be very difficult.
You could asked for help.

We didn't stop producing the B.E.R.T. SCSI.
The PCB you used was from the first batch of hundred made by Digital KC with some ideas from me.
We are using now a PCB from the third generation.
Easier to build.
And with PCB headers with retractable hooks.

All the Z5380 chips are working. We did that with many like AMD, Intersil, NEC and Zilog.
No modification needed.
The ROM version 2.6 gives problems when you use it in a SCSI network.
There is ROM version 2.7 made for.
The 2.7 is build in two versions.
One for MSX-2 machines and one for turbo r machines.

I struggle to understand, the ENG<->FR translation is too incomprehensible
However, I realized this prototype to see the SCSI capacity with the MSX, I already have a MEGA with SCSI HDD and CDROM so I could see the differences, most of the SCSI cards are slightly exceed compared to SD or IDE or CF
nowadays largest world possesses a SCSI park except "COLLECTION" for memory
the V2.7 ROM is not found !! on the net
the mods on the PCB of the card could be made.
but nobody seems to interresser has this card for some time has been by me
saw that the card appears to have been manufactured in small series and that little person still possesses in working condition
it seemed normal to me to save this card to our MSX !!

Now if a new version comes out I would be the first happy

Btw Hans Otten should update his website, the B.E.R.T files are missing on it (or the links are missing), although the text mentions that they can be made available :

Quote:

B.E.R.T. SCSI interface

B.E.R.T. fdisk 2-1, older MK ROM with disassembly by Floris van Gog
Bert Hoogenboom has made the sources of the B.E.R.T. interface available and gave permission to publish.
Maarten Verheijdt has made the sources of FDISK for B.E.R.T. available, also permission to publish.

I don't need personnally the files (as blueMSX development is in freezing mode), I was only reacting as a MSX fan who visits Hans Otten's website viewed as an important MSX resource website.

Could be fun if the B.E.R.T. SCSI interface was supported in BlueMSX or other Emulators.
Like Ru-MSX or OpenMSX
