Hi,
I'm developing an Android application to load files to MSX from cassette input.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.dod.msx...

To help some people which have an old MSX in home, but all their cassettes doesn't work anymore :)

This application is in development, but already loads BAS, ASCII and ROM(max 32K) files.
You can choose playback speed from 1200bps, 2400bps and 3600bps

The next step is to load .CAS files.

If you have some questions, new features or problems with the application, let me know.

Thank you ;)

Sounds pretty cool! It will probably be useful for me in the future.

Interesting indeed. Last year a did a simple update/refactory of a similar existing application in C, but I didn't fully debug it, nor fixed it. If You share Your precious source code, I will study it for reference or steal some code from You, if You allow it. Cool

Now that is cool application!

Yes, please add also BIN and CAS-file support. If you have the other stuff there already, it shouldn't need many lines of code.

I'll make the core's source code available as open source when I finish it. It's a personal project, and if everybody helps me fix my project bugs, I'll have nothing to do after LOL!

The BIN support is already working, but need more tests before making it available. Some BINs are not working right yet.

The CAS is almost done, maybe it will be available in the next week, if everything works right Smile

New version!

Now with .BIN and .CAS files support.

Next steps:
- Multiple files loader;
- Select files to play on .CAS;

I probably found a not working .cas
Maybe it's a bug, my file or not works on my MSX.
I tried Operation Wolf. Can someone confirm if it's a MSX 1 64Kb game?

Hey, thanks for the work! I'm sure to give the CAS support a try.
I've tried running various roms on my sony HB75, but find that a lot of them won't run; many Konami roms, even a 16kb one like Antarctic Adventure will reset into BASIC right after loading. Is this a known (or even solvable) problem?

It could be not a problem of this program, because some roms (Konami did it too) are protected to prevent they run on RAM. You will need a patched version of them.
