Kanji ROM Cartridge?

Hi Guys,

as some of you may remember, I managed to upgrade to Basic 3 and VDP9958.
As I used a 64kb EPROM, I didn't have space for the Kanji ROM.

Most games don't require this anyway, but
some look crap without it (just white blocks where the characters should be).

My question is, is there a cartridge I can use instead of messing with the inside of my MSX again?
Flashing to MegaFlashROM would be the ideal.

Especially Konami, Sony and Toshiba Kanji JIS1 (128 Kb) or JIS1 + JIS2 (256 kb) cartridges exist, they are difficult to find but they are very similar to the corresponding roms found in some Japanese machines.

It's a nice idea, but probably you would only be able to load the Kanji driver (32KB) on the MegaFlashROM. The font ROM is accessed through the D8h/D9h I/O ports, and I don't think that even the super flexible MegaFlashROM SCC+ supports that.

I don't know if the MegaFlashROM SCC+ FPGA firmware can be updated to support this kind of thing, but it seems that you will probably need to build a specific cartridge for the Kanji ROM.

It's not a massive problem, but I'd like to be able to play games as they were intended to look.
I'll have to keep an eye open for Kanji cartridges on here and on Fleabay

Also MSX Write I includes JIS 1st class Kanji / MSX Write II includes JIS 1+2 Kanji
