Insane! It takes two people for a full on bidding war. And the seller was enjoying every minute of it, I'm sure!

I always thought that it was the same seller who was auctioning the item on both ebay and yahoo japan and that the reason why the price was higher on ebay was that they build into the cost the tax that ebay charges on each sell? I also note that the shipping costs are cheaper on ebay than yahoo japan for the same item. I thought that this was because the seller builds most of the shipping cost into the item price? Thinking about it now though I think you are right and I am wrong. Ebay is a reseller hoping to make a quick buck off someone buying it from them rather than original seller on yahoo japan.

eBay's alright for the most part. You can occasionally find a surprisingly good deal. If you're desperate enough, there are also a handful of sellers that will sell you what you want for a ridiculous markup (not naming any names, but those who regularly trawl eBay probably know who I'm talking about).

For instance, it's ridiculously hard to find the Japanese Frogger anywhere, but if you're willing to overpay by about $200, you can actually find it on eBay - whereas I haven't seen one on Yahoo Auctions in the last few years.

Overpaying is also relative, completely depends by your preferences and what you want... But yes, if in bad condition (and those orange early and weak boxes usually are more or less bad), then paying 300+ is in my opinion too much.

I have btw one in good condition for sale, and initial price is less than cheapest CIB Frogger in Ebay.

So where are the actual pictures of the MNS 8280, as I see it now, I am buying a box of a NMS 8280 and a brand new philips matrix printer lolz. :P How does someone expect to sell this without proof of the MSX machine being in a "new" state, for this price I expect the keyboard to be of new colour etc etc etc. LOL!

I've never seen an NMS-8280 with only one disk drive. Have they been sold with one drive?
