Hi, be welcome... Have a lot of fun with your MSX... But please take a look here. Your XV is its younger sister, but suffers the same risks. Please check (or have it checked by a technician) if it's still durable or if decay has started already. It would be quite a blow if this great machine would die on you any time soon.
The machine in that article is mine. Three years before it I bought it and it was in pristine condition. I'm happy it got reanimated.

Thank you for that! Your photos really help identifying what a leak looks like for those not familiar with it. Since I've received my XV, I've turned it on once to test that it works as described, but I'll go through your guide to make sure things are good internally before turning it on again...and truthfully, I wouldn't mind being forced to do a little recap project.

Konami cartridge: nemesis, tennis, hyper sports 1, hyper rally, road fighter, Yie-ar kung fu 1 & 2, knightmare, F1 Spirit.
All packed in a small room.
