Konamito halts editorial activity

Years of serving as a beacon in cyberspace, the electronic highway, and as a source of information and inspiration for the MSX community has passed - seven years to be exact. After pondering upon his decision for a while, Konamito's webmaster/main editor, namely Konamito himself, has decided to discontinue his work on the blog. Maintaining a website of this stature admittedly takes quite some personal time to invest, and Konamito - in his own words - had to face reality, meaning that today, he couldn't produce the time, effort and motivation essential for doing so anymore.

The site will stay online until the online contract runs out (within months). If somebody is interested in reclaiming the material published so far - you're encouraged to do just that as soon as possible. Moreover, Konamito's decision implies that the native MSX-BASIC Contest is hereby suspended and possibly revoked.

What happened? You found a game that you cracked, added ripped graphics and was trying to sell for some bucks completely free on eMule? And now you're abandoning the scene forever? ... Hmmm, maybe I'm just making confusion because Spanish is somehow similar to Portuguese.

konamito was a great site. dont delete it, at least. let it stay there so i can go there everyday to contemplate and cry.

I visit the site everyday.... Then again maintaining the site must take some time indeed. I hope the BASIC contest will continue.

Hey , guys ! : I find pointless talk about Spanish , Portuguese , Emule´s things ... It´s hard for Konamito to leave his activities and , for almost seven years , he has offered to us a great MSX site , always with news and updates , and a BASIC contest !! It´s a great work , and he deserves the best of luck in his personal projects ...

Well, Konamito, I think you're doing the right thing.
I must confess that, living here among the monkeys and bananas, it's not easy for me to understand this HATE that dutch/nordic/saxon/aryan have with Spain, Italy and Portugal.

At least now we're investing in weapons here. As soon as Brazil takes its place among the dominant global powers we can help our "brother-latin-countries" and NUKE'em.

WTF muffie why would you think Dutch have anything against Spain or Brazil? That’s just stupid. And how is it even relevant here?

Like Meits and Manuel, I simply can’t read the site so I don’t know about it and I’m curious about it too. As we’re in a different language group latin languages are not easy for us, I only barely know French myself. If you’re getting upset at us because of some soccer hooligan then I don’t know what to say to you.

Nope. I read pictures and use google translate. Next to Konamito I also read Karoshi's Forum everyday.

Guys , please ... don´t take this so far ! I´m spanish , and I´ve NEVER felt mistreated on this page , and by any other user wherever it came from !We have one passion in common : the MSX , and that is beyond countries , races , philosophical or politics or religion matters ... Just let it go , and enjoy together this freaky passion ! ( I think is easy to understand this point )
