hi all,

all is in the title except this link :

http://www.koreus.com/jeu/the-missile.html

i wonder is screen 1 of even 0 is enough with 128kb ram though .
typically the circle and structure would be described with characters graphically tailored.

is there any game on msx comparable ?
cheers,

ps : this game is very adictive !!!

With vector graphics, yes, it is possible, one of the best coders that has fantastic 3D skills is ARTRAG, he can do a game like this.

Reducing the detail and making the shapes less complex, msx1 can do.

And I say Leo's idea is more realistic, use MSX2 screen1 and fill the 128KB with prerendered graphics. 50/60fps is very important in a fast game like this, can't do that on MSX1 with vector graphics.

Go make the game. Smile

On what do you base your findings? Its a little easy to just shout someone else's name that he can do it. Not that I dare to question ARTRAG's abilities.

real time 3D? sorry not my cup of tea, really
I did only some basic attemp in C 100 times slower than needed for any game
Just to continue the game of shouting someone else's name that he can do it,
on the subject, MicroTech did amazing demos some of them also with filled poligons

Check out the game The Light Corridor, it's quite similar. http://www.generation-msx.nl/msxdb/softwareinfo/3217 or Wikipedia.

Of the people that still actively use their MSX, most of them I guess.
Estranged people (like Manuel or me Wink ) can use their favourite MSX emulator.

Me.

I think that the game is possible, but not in "real" 3d and whitout camera control.
