Vampier, thank you for pointing out about dingoo. I hadn't learnt about it. Can you give a few more details about your personal opinion concerning dingoo. I read dingoo has AV-out which means something like "I can sit in couch and play MSX videogames in the home TV set" I think prices for OCM are way too high...
Greetings,
I mean, I did read http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingoo which looks quite intesting. Was more interested in a user personal opinion, if that's not too much asking ;)
Greetings,
derebo,
If you manage to configure TV-OUT in Dingux (doable, but has it's quirks) you obviously can "sit in couch and play MSX videogames in the home TV set". I do it with my Dingoo A320 on 50" plasma TV.
And if you hate long cables, you may try Dingoo A330 - it has wireless joystick.
The only drawback on Dingoo is emulators limitations:
you have to choose between fixed keyboard mapping and absence of full-screen mode in openMSX-dingux
and incomplete emulation support / tv-out quirks caused by improper overclocking in dingux-msx (fMSX port).
For playing MSX games on a TV, one of the best alternatives is BlueMSX-Wii for the Nintendo Wii's Homebrew Channel
http://www.wiimsx.com/
The emulation is very accurate, it syncs to the TV display properly (as you'd expect from a gaming console), and it practically comes with a whole bunch of games (see the "Full Gamepack" download) set up in a nice menu structure.
If you don't have a Wii, the Dingoo is of course cheaper.
cax - keyboard mapping can partially be tweaked still (using bind commands), but not with some menu. Full screen mode: I think we had a discussion about that... in my opinion (and technically), openMSX always runs on full screen on Dingoo. fMSX just skips most of the borders.
