You know I don't, sd_snatcher! Wink But I actually visited Serra Gaúcha (Gramado, Canela, and a few others) in june some years ago, so I have a little idea of what you're talking.

Unlike yours, my city is still between the tropics. But due to higher altitude (1.172m), and topography (plateau) we have some desertic characteristics here, such as low relative humidity and high temperature variations during the day, I really can't fall in love to this weather.

In past we used to don't have rainfall between april and october. Yes, six months with no rain, cold nights and hot days. It's actually getting better these last years, since we're experiencing very spaced rainfalls (once a month or so) on our 6-month "dry season", so this is keeping the ultra-dry weather we used to have at bay. And come on, if you have lower temps the entire day, you won't need to carry around a huge/heavy coat (on your arm of course, because you don't tie those long sleeves around your waist since you left highscool and you'll sweat like a pig if you carry it over your shoulders) 6 hours of your day because it's too hot to wear it. Its just madness. (THIS IS SPARTA! LOL! ) I don't know if you came to Brasilia meeting in 1997/8/9, so I can't be sure if you know what I'm talking about.

Just to illustrate, I went to bed yesterday around 1:00 with 16ºC and 59% relative humidity. I didn't looked to the weather app just before dawn, but it's correct to think that we had temperature a little above 10ºC and relative humidity a little below 65%. Right now we have 24ºC and 41%. Near september, we'll have a little below 15ºC 40% before dawn and 35ºC (or above) with 15% (and its common to go below 10%) at noon. You could thing those are easy to live temps, but try having all of them on the same day. Everything you can do to soften the rough weather has a downside that could make you sick, so you just live these days and hope for the best. Oh crap! I'm feeling sick already.

But... I'm sure Finns feel like walking without shirts on this weather. Tongue

Yeah, beer and hot glue pistol also do not mix very well (I had a serious burn on a finger that way). I probably should do like Bas and never use hot glue, or avoid drinking beer... Will probably stop glue first after some reflexion Smile

We don't need a pistol here for hot glue, surpassing the 40ºC.
